We'll explore in layman's terms what blockchain is but more importantly how blockchain can address common challenges faced by businesses and organisations, and the tangible benefits it offers. Whether you're seeking to enhance security, improve operations, or unlock new opportunities, this event is designed to provide valuable insights and practical knowledge.

Businesses and organisations today encounter a myriad of challenges in an increasingly complex and interconnected world, from reducing their carbon footprint to increasing performance to remain competitive in a world constantly under threat of cyber attack and data breaches, these challenges can hinder growth and innovation.

Key concerns include:

  • Data security - Safeguarding against cyber threats and breaches to maintain data integrity.
  • Operational inefficiencies - Addressing rising costs associated with inefficient processes and workflows.
  • Trust and transparency - Fostering trust and transparency among stakeholders to nurture strong relationships.
  • Supply chain complexity - Managing intricate supply chains with diverse stakeholders and regulatory frameworks.
  • Competitive edge -Sustaining competitiveness by staying abreast of evolving trends and market dynamics.

There will be open discussions and networking as part of the session, with refreshments provided.

Who is this Workshop for?

This workshop is for private sector and public sector organisations across Cardiff Capital Region, including:

  • Business leaders prioritising areas such as supply chain, circularity, Net Zero compliance, and digital records.
  • Decision makers focused on technology, digital transformation, and data.
  • Those tasked with performance and innovation within their organisation.

Remaining competitive, especially for organisations operating in or seeking to operate in a global market, requires at a minimum, accurate blockchain awareness, if not adoption.

As of 2021, Blockdata reported 81 of the world's top 100 public companies were using blockchain technology, a trend which continues to grow.

Blockchain offers a range of solutions to address these challenges and unlock new opportunities for businesses and organisations. Here's how:

  • Automating processes, cutting out intermediaries, and offering instantaneous transaction insights.
  • Cultivating trust through its transparent and unchangeable nature.
  • Enabling full traceability and transparency within supply chains.
  • Providing a secure, transparent avenue for data sharing, project collaboration, and innovative business model creation.
  • Utilising cryptographic methods and decentralised networks.

25 MEHEFIN 2024 CAERDYDD

Ydych chi'n awyddus i ddarganfod sut y gallwch chi wella effeithlonrwydd, cost effeithiolrwydd, cadwyn gyflenwi a diogelwch eich busnes neu sefydliad?

Wedi'i ddwyn atoch gan Technology Connected, Prifddinas-Ranbarth Caerdydd a Choleg Caerdydd a'r Fro, ymunwch â ni i ymchwilio i botensial trawsnewidiol technoleg blockchain ar gyfer cwmnïau yn y sector preifat a chyhoeddus.

Dydd Mawrth 25ain Mehefin 2024

campws sbarc, Caerdydd

9am – 1pm

Yr hyn y gallwch ei ddisgwyl

Byddwn yn archwilio mewn termau lleygwyr beth yw blockchain, ond yn bwysicach fyth sut y gall blockchain fynd i'r afael â heriau cyffredin a wynebir gan fusnesau a sefydliadau, a'r buddion diriaethol y mae'n eu cynnig. P'un a ydych chi'n ceisio gwella diogelwch, gwella gweithrediadau, neu ddatgloi cyfleoedd newydd, mae'r digwyddiad hwn wedi'i gynllunio i ddarparu mewnwelediadau gwerthfawr a gwybodaeth ymarferol.

Heddiw mae busnesau a sefydliadau'n wynebu myrdd o heriau mewn byd cynyddol gymhleth a rhyng-gysylltiedig, o leihau eu hôl troed carbon i gynyddu perfformiad i barhau'n gystadleuol mewn byd sydd o dan fygythiad cyson o ymosodiadau seiber a rhyddhau data'n ddamweiniol, gall yr heriau hyn lesteirio twf ac arloesedd.

Mae pryderon allweddol yn cynnwys:

  • Diogelwch data - Diogelu rhag bygythiadau a thoriadau seiber er mwyn cynnal uniondeb data.
  • Aneffeithlonrwydd gweithredol - Mynd i'r afael â chostau cynyddol sy'n gysylltiedig â phrosesau a llif gwaith aneffeithlon.
  • Ymddiriedaeth a thryloywder - Meithrin ymddiriedaeth a thryloywder ymhlith rhanddeiliaid er mwyn meithrin perthnasoedd cryf.
  • Cymhlethdod y gadwyn gyflenwi - Rheoli cadwyni cyflenwi cymhleth gyda rhanddeiliaid a fframweithiau rheoleiddio amrywiol.
  • Mantais gystadleuol - Cynnal cystadleurwydd trwy fod yn ymwybodol o dueddiadau esblygol a deinameg y farchnad.

Bydd trafodaethau agored a rhwydweithio fel rhan o'r sesiwn, gyda lluniaeth yn cael ei ddarparu.

Ar gyfer pwy mae'r Gweithdy hwn?

Mae'r gweithdy hwn ar gyfer sefydliadau'r sector preifat a'r sector cyhoeddus ar draws Prifddinas Ranbarth Caerdydd, gan gynnwys:

  • Arweinwyr busnes sydd am flaenoriaethu meysydd fel eu cadwyn gyflenwi, cylcholdeb, cydymffurfiaeth â Sero Net, a chofnodion digidol.
  • Y rhai sy'n gwneud penderfyniadau sy'n canolbwyntio ar dechnoleg, trawsnewid digidol, a data.
  • Y rhai sydd â'r dasg o berfformio ac arloesi o fewn eu sefydliad.

Mae cadw'n gystadleuol, yn enwedig ar gyfer sefydliadau sy'n gweithredu mewn marchnad fyd-eang neu'n ceisio gwneud hynny, yn gofyn am o leiaf ymwybyddiaeth gywir o blockchain, os nad ei fabwysiadu.

O 2021 ymlaen, nododd Blockdata fod 81 o'r 100 cwmni cyhoeddus mwyaf blaenllaw yn y byd yn defnyddio technoleg blockchain, tuedd sy'n parhau i dyfu.

Mae Blockchain yn cynnig ystod o atebion i fynd i'r afael â'r heriau hyn, gan ddatgloi cyfleoedd newydd i fusnesau a sefydliadau. Dyma sut:

  • Awtomeiddio prosesau, torri cyfryngwyr allan, a chynnig mewnwelediadau i drafodion yn y fan a'r lle.
  • Meithrin ymddiriedaeth trwy ei natur dryloyw a digyfnewid.
  • Galluogi olrhain a thryloywder llawn o fewn cadwyni cyflenwi.
  • Darparu llwybr diogel a thryloyw ar gyfer rhannu data, cydweithio ar brosiectau, a chreu modelau busnes arloesol.
  • Defnyddio dulliau cryptograffig a rhwydweithiau datganoledig.
