David Coathup
Post Doctoral Research Assistant at The Centre for Photonics ExpertiseDavid Coathup joined The CPE in 2019 after completing his PhD at Aston University. David’s PhD was on thin film devices where he investigated the electronic properties of materials with novel dopants.
He leads the thin film research activities at OpTIC, using our new state of the art research facility. His focus is on improving existing optical thin film processes, and developing new processes as part of new or improved product development.
He is well versed in the applications of thin films technology in both industry and academia, and is actively seeking collaboration in Wales.
