As part of our "Where Are They Now" series, we are delighted to welcome the return of some of our previous Wales Technology Award Winners who will share with us their stories and achievements since winning their Award.



The event will feature Paul Shepherd founder of WeBuildBots 2018's Sir Michael Moritz Start Up Award Winner. Paul started his journey as an entrepreneur in 2010 when he founded Coup; a Fast Growth 50 digital agency that specialised in managing customer service social media channels for large corporates. In 2013 Paul went on to co-found Hello Soda, a global analytics company now with offices in Manchester, Asia and Austin, TX.



Paul's experience in digital, data analytics and customer experience led him to found WBB in 2017. Now a multi award-winning AI company with a team of 20, WBB are changing the shape of customer service through AI, automation and analytics. WBB serves clients across the UK, Europe and USA.



We are also delighted to welcome 2019's Innovative Product of The Year winners Glyndwr Innovations and its MD Caroline Gray.



Caroline Gray is the director of Glyndwr Innovations in St Asaph in St Asaph, a leading provider of innovative product development engineering and technology consulting. This award-winning team have achieved a number of world firsts including the development of Ultra Lightweight optical systems for Space and Near Space applications.


Joining Paul and Caroline is James Carnie, CTO and Co-Founder of Mobilise Cloud. James co-founded Mobilise in 2014 to help businesses gain a competitive advantage by adopting public cloud computing; the company has been an Amazon Web Services partner for 5 years. James helps organise the AWS South Wales User Group and Serverless Days events in Cardiff.

We'll also be chatting to Victoria Norman Founder and CEO of Signum Health a practiced project manager with over 2 decades of experience managing a range of diverse, and complex, businesses and projects predominately in both public and private health sectors and where she has taken the business since winning at the Wales Technology Awards.


Also joining will be Andrew Russell, CEO of Wealthify. Andy is passionate about Wealthify's mission to help make investing become affordable and accessible to anyone, and is excited to be leading the company on the next stage of its evolution. He will be focussing on nurturing Wealthify's dynamic and agile culture, which has helped make it the great company it is today, whilst ensuring customer advocacy and feedback help drive scaling of the business in the future.


Toby Townrow, Business Development Director, Drone Evolution ,Winners of 2019 Wales Technology Awards Sir Michael Moritz New Start Up Award will also be taking to the 'stage'. Drone Evolution is a commercial products and services company based in Caerphilly. The company is developing their own range of tethered drones, keeping a drone in the air for hours as opposed to minutes. This has attracted a range of clients including defence, security, major events and sports companies. Drone Evolution have also been busy establishing a national service for clients in construction, property, telecoms, local government and social housing. The business has had investment support from Angels Invest Wales and Development Bank of Wales. Over the last year, the company has filed two patents and is looking to push forward with commercialisation into 2021, moving out of start-up phase
