Chief Technical Officer at Creo Medical

Chris is the founder of Creo Medical with over 20 years’ of experience in medical device development, including four years at Gyrus Group plc in his role as Senior Engineer.

Chris holds a personal Chair in the Medical Microwave Systems Research Group at Bangor University. Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, a Chartered Physicist, Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a Chartered Engineer and a Senior Member of the IEEE.

Chris is a named inventor and lead author on over 500 patents/patent applications and international journal publications.

Shaun has interests in electromagnetic theory and simulation along with the effect of advanced energy on biological tissue.

He grew up in Liverpool and moved to North Wales for his undergraduate degree where he gained first-class honours in Electronic Engineering and subsequently completed his PhD at Bangor University.

He’s been in Wales ever since and now lives near Chepstow working full time as a project leader and senior engineer.

Patrick focuses specifically on microwave ablation and the combination of RF and microwave modalities for therapeutic applications. Originally from North East Wales, Patrick studied at Bangor gaining first-class honours in Electronic Engineering prior to completing an MRes at the Medical Microwave Systems Research Group. Patrick has since submitted his PhD thesis and now lives in South Wales where he has worked at Creo Medical since 2014.

William’s focus in on antenna design for volumetric tissue ablation. He was born in Essex but lived in Florida for 6 years. He moved to North Wales for university and completed an undergraduate degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a masters degree in Nanotechnology and Microfabrication. He is currently writing up his PhD whilst working as an engineer for Creo Medical.

Ilan’s work is concentrated on the development of high voltage nanosecond pulses for electroporation applications. Raised in the heart of Snowdonia he completed his MEng degree in electronic engineering from Bangor University in 2017, where he is also undertaking his PhD at the Medical Microwave Systems Research Group.

Aeron’s focus in on antenna designs to create a uniform field across the entire aperture for an even ablation zone for skin cancer applications. Aeron graduated with a first-class degree in Electronic Engineering from Bangor University in 2018 and is undertaking his MRes degree in the Medical Microwave Systems Research Group, Bangor University. He was born and raised in Bangor and now lives in Anglesey.
